Large Remote Camps

Client: Yukon Zinc Task: Northern Trailer completed the manufacturing, transportation and installation of Yukon Zinc's new 205-man camp located about 190 KM north of Watson Lake. This comprehensive project included more than 70 buildings such as dorm complexes, two mine-dry complexes accessed by 70 staff, a 6000-square-foot kitchen/diner complex and recreation facilities for all camp members. Northern Trailer also manufactured and installed a 6300-square-foot, air conditioned office complex in addition to several ancillary buildings, which provided various services and comforts to the staff. Northern Trailer wishes this client great success on the project and looks forward to future opportunities working with Yukon Zinc. Time-line: 18 weeks

  

Workforce Housing

In conjunction with the major expansion of the paladium mine near Thunder Bay, Ontario, Northern Trailer supplied and installed a 262-person permanent camp complete with six 42-person fully reconditioned bunkhouse complexes, a 15-unit (9,800 square foot) kitchen / dining hall / recreation complex and a six-unit (2,900 sqare foot) management staff quarters.

Specialized Custom Manufactured Buildings

Alaska Labs

Northern Trailer provided Teck Pogo with a custom designed and manufactured 3,900 square foot Environmental Mine Assay Lab.

Operator Booths

Northern Trailer has designed and manufactured more than a dozen operator booths for mining operations.  Each was customized to site requirements and came fully-equipped with cabinetry and pressurized air-conditioned cabs to ensure operator comfort.  Booths were shipped as far away as Indonesia.
