Case Study
Business As Usual for Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers
Company receives new two-story building with no disruption to their operations.
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers sells more used equipment and trucks than anyone else in the world during their 150+ auctions held internationally. They needed a new complex at their Surrey, BC auction-site - one that was flexible and fast in its installation, yet completely customized to their needs.
Northern Trailer had a building solution that allowed Ritchie Bros. to operate business-as-usual. Using their expertise in manufacturing, planning and installation, Northern Trailer designed a modular complex, and mapped out the site prep and installation process - all to take place in between Ritchie Bros. auctions.
A temporary trailer was provided for Ritchie Bros. to work from during the installation process and the foundation and plumbing were placed in-between auctions. At the same time, off-site, the new office building was being manufactured. During the next window of opportunity between auctions, Northern Trailer installed a new two-story complex, literally in one day. The construction included crane-installation of five separate modular units -- joined into one 2-story building.
These five Northern Trailer units now make a two level, permanent building on Ritchie Brothers Surrey location.
