2007 Manufacturer of the Year

Northern Trailer is proud to be named “Manufacturer of the Year” for the second year in a row. This Business Excellence Award, sponsored by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, recognizes excellence in service, business performance and contributions to the community.

In addition to celebrating Northern Trailer’s 25th year of operation, highlights over the past year include the opening of a third transportation facility and completion of the first year of operation at our Mount Paul Manufacturing Plant. As well, joint corporate/employee initiatives raised over $25,000 in support of local charities, health, education and sporting groups.

This award would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our employees, and the ongoing commitment of our customers, suppliers and business associates. Many thanks to all those who have contributed to our success in 2007.

Northern Trailer to join Horizon North Logistics

Company sets course for further growth into new and existing markets

Today’s announcement of Northern Trailer’s move to join Horizon North Logistics marks a very positive step for both companies – from a stronger platform of products and services to continued expansion into new markets – it is a win-win situation for both Northern Trailer and Horizon North Logistics, as well as their employees, clients, and suppliers.

Northern Trailer’s operations will continue to run business-as-usual without change to its management team with Mark Brown remaining as President. “We are pleased that Northern Trailer will become part of Horizon North Logistics,” said Mark Brown. “This move provides Northern Trailer access to increased opportunities and investments in Kamloops, throughout Western Canada and beyond.”

The pending acquisition of Northern Trailer by Horizon North Logistics is anticipated to be complete by November 30, 2007, following acceptance of all terms, conditions, agreements and regulatory approvals.

2006 Manufacturer of the Year!

In October 2006 Northern Trailer was honoured with a Business Excellence Award as "Manufacturer of the Year" by the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce –recognizing our strategic growth, excellent service and contribution to the economic and social well-being of our community.

2006 was a year of milestones for Northern Trailer, including the relocation of our manufacturing operations to Mount Paul Center, the hiring of over 80 new employees and the contribution of over $16,000 to local and provincial charitable organizations.

We would like to thank all Northern Trailer employees, suppliers and associates for their excellent work and contribution to the success of our company.

Giving Back

At Northern Trailer, we take social responsibility seriously and look for additional ways to give back to the community. Northern Trailer employees and family friends raised more than $10,000 in support of the 2006 Kamloops Cancer Society Relay For Life, while additional Northern Trailer donations to local health, education and sporting groups total more than $6,000 annually.
